Last Friday, February 14th at 9 PM, FC Laval's semi-professional team played an intense training match against CS Longueuil in Saint-Jérôme. This match served as an important test for the team as they prepare for the Canadian Championship tournament, scheduled for mid-May against York United.


The match ended with a 2-1 score in favor of CS Longueuil, but it was marked by several decisive moments. FC Laval opened the scoring, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Longueuil then capitalized on a defensive error to score the first goal.


FC Laval responded with determination and managed to equalize at 1-1, showing great resilience. The team even thought they had taken the lead with a second goal, but it was also disallowed for offside. Despite this, FC Laval continued to fight and equalized at 2-2, demonstrating excellent team spirit.


However, after another defensive mistake, CS Longueuil took advantage of the opportunity to score the winning goal, sealing the final score at 2-1.


Despite the result, the match was very positive for FC Laval's preparation. The team is now focusing on fine-tuning details, particularly in defensive organization and marking. The goal is to be in top form for the challenge against York United in the Canadian Championship tournament.
